Designed as an analog representation of a digitally created warped plane node geometry was utilized to develop a pixelated surface meant to read as a continuous form. The installation is made of 2 main components, the suspended ceiling form and the light box [screen].

The ceiling form is constructed of 2,686 suspended pieces of reclaimed parquet flooring, hung from planks of reclaimed racquet ball court in such a manner as to create the illusion of a solid a warping surface, flat on the north end and evolving to form an arc at the south end. The arc develops a formal proscenium at the light box where a Yoga instructor would move through a series of Yoga stances and poses creating a live action spectacle.

The installation is meant to read as a space within a space. The existing structure is left intact and raw to illustrate the flexibility of creating interior forms to create the inference of interior spaces. Lighting and acoustics were major concerns of the installation and will be constantly studied as the space is continuously used throughout the summer months (or until the commercial bay is leased).
